March 1, 2003
Aloha!
You are invited to the second annual island-wide Solutions 2003: Neighborhoods in Action Seminar sponsored by Plan to Protect and funded by Atherton Family Foundation. The seminar will be held on May 17, 2003 from 7:30am to 4:30pm at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott and Outrigger Resort.
'Solutions' is a grassroots initiative addressing island-wide safety concerns. Participants in the 2002 seminar identified the following 6 priorities, which will be the agenda for the 2003 seminar:
- Communication
- Drugs
- Traffic
|
- Manpower/Staffing
- Property Crimes
- Animal Control
|
Workshops will be held on these topics, and you are encouraged to share your insights and experiences and areas of expertise through participation in a workshop of your choice. The goal of the seminar is to create achievable plans to address our united concerns.
Your involvement is essential to insure the success of this grass-roots effort. Along with knowing that your voice will be heard, you will have access to safety information and the opportunity to network with others interested in improving conditions on the island of Hawai`i.
Everyone is invited, so pass this information along. Your timely reply is encouraged; attendance is limited to the first 200 registrations. If you have any issues, concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (808)325-0039 or konalil@hawaii.rr.com.
Sincerely,

Lilian Beaufrere
