Community Involvement / Awareness
  • Neighborhood Watch Involvement (i.e. sign waving, working with Community Police, reporting violators, using the Community road safety watch sheet)
  • Speed Board Trailer (again working with your Community Policing Officer)
  • Media Campaign (utilizing radio, newspaper for personal service announcements about problem areas)
Construction / Engineering
  • Rumble Strips
  • Traffic calming devices (although some people commented that it won't work because the roads were not engineered correctly or roads not available for devices)
  • MSpeed Bumps
  • Traffic Cameras
Enforcement
  • Increase fines in Neighborhoods (double fines in neighborhood)
  • Lower speed limits more
  • More officers to enforce
  • Fines from citations should stay in County
Miscellaneous
  • Shoot the tires
  • Smashed cares on sides of roads slow traffic
  • Personal driving habits (people going slow to say hello to friends can cause an accident)
