Aloha.
Welcome to our third annual islandwide seminar, Solutions 2004: Neighborhoods In Action, sponsored by Plan to Protect and partially funded by the Atherton Family Foundation.
This year's seminar will be focusing on what positive steps we have taken since our first seminar in 2002. We will be hearing from the Hawaii County's Fire Department and Prosecuting Office regarding youth programs that are in place and learn more how we can enhance our partnership.
Updates from the Hawaii County Police Department on our top islandwide safety concerns and Community Policing in order for all to understand how working together helps in addressing our top common concerns: Drugs, Traffic, Property Crimes and Animal Control.
Lastly, we will all participate in out on-going Task Force Groups to work on achievable plans toward solutions to our top three safety issues: Animal Control, Property Crimes or Traffic.
I would like to thank all of you for participating in this third annual islandwide Solutions: Neighborhoods In Action seminar. Today "we" will leave here today with better "tools", information and contacts to improve better partnerships within "our" communities on the Island of Hawaii.
Mahalo,
Lilian Beaufrere
